I know, I should quit changing my bloody theme here, but I can't help it!  It's the season for something purdy and jolly, so I've gone with this one for the next few weeks, then in January I'll go back to the cute Mad Lab one.

I've decided to go back to doing an actual outline for this novel.  Scary.  I was trying to write it adlib, and finding stuff being left out or forgotten.  so back to outlining it is!

Lemme think... now that the tree and mantel are decorated, we've kinda given up on everything else, sigh.  which is just as well.  We moved here in September, and we still have tons of boxes everywhere.  So I guess I know what I'll be doing when procrastinating from writing!  (though today I cleaned instead of unpacking OR writing).

Oh, and I watched Next, it was entertaining though not a great movie.  I just find Nicolas Cage very creepy (and not in a good Tim Burton kind of way).

Well, my youngest certainly made up for being healthy all while my eldest had her cold; she now not only has this terrible head cold, but pinkeye as well!  She looks a bit like someone socked her in the nose, poor thing.

I got a fair bit of the bathroom painted.  Still not sure of the colour though.  Sigh.  My own cold is still lingering, which is annoying, but so far I'm recovering.

I get to work tomorrow night, first time on the new job!  I hope it works out okay.  Making coffee, cleaning up, nothing really all that different than the deli, barring I no longer have to handle lots of meat.  Lol, now that's a good thing!

Right now I'm watching Gene Kelly rollerskating.  Cute movie.  I've never seen anybody tap dance while wearing rollerskates before.  I think it's called 'On the Town'.

I'm reading through some slightly better written paranormal romances.  Well, slightly better written, lol.  Some of the ones out there are just terrible.  Brrrr.  I'm trying out the 'unknown' (to me) authors (Rosemary Laurey, etc) first, saving the good stuff, like C.E. Murphy for after.  It's kind of sad.  Some of these stories have great premises, but just don't go anywhere interesting, or worse, tie everything up so poorly it hurts.  Like, I just finished What do You Say to a Naked Elf? by Cheryl Sterling.  I expected a cute, fluffy, fast read.  I got that; the end was sooooo predictable, I didn't really have to read it!  I hate that.

I may have to go find my copy of The Mirror of Her Dreams, by Stephen Donaldson just so I can read something powerful and enveloping.

I caught up on my movie viewing of pop culture this weekend: My Super-Ex Girlfriend, the DaVinci Code, Click and ...uhh... oh yeah, The Devil wears Prada.

I know, out of date, but for me it's a catch up!  Now I too can catch useless insider jokes!

Anyway, I really enjoyed My Super-Ex Girlfriend, and The Devils wears Prada was cute, but Click was too cliche, and as for the DaVinci Code... is this kind of thing really all that thrilling and shocking to christians?  I mean, didn't Dogma do something similar a few years ago (with a lot more humor, a big plus)?

It's shaping up to be a good christmas/yule, etc.  There are tons of gifts under the tree, the girls (2 & 6) are both quite excited about Santa visiting tonight ('he's' already been), the stockings are stuffed, and I'm watching that great sentimental seasonal movie, The Ref.

wow, this movie is amazingly good!  Lol, one of the things I love about Kevin Smith's clerks movies is that they parallel my own life at just the right stages.  Mallrats hit it dead on, ditto Chasing Amy, and now Clerks 2.  Bravo!  well, I suppose if you're not a nerdy, weird low income schlub like me, it won't be as easy to identify with the characters, but it sure does it for me.  cheers!
