Okay, so the house is now officially on the market.  Woohoo.  Finally!  Here it is.  We need more photos, and almost-ex wants a better pic of the house, since it's kinda shadowy, but hell, it's out on the market, so we're way closer to selling.

We were supposed to have 2 showing on sunday, which failed to go through, but it did make us finish cleaning and repairing, so it was all to the good.  The house looks pretty dam fine, and all I have to do is upkeep.  Not fun, lol, but much easier than trying to spend hours each day painting/packing as well as looking after the kids and working 3 or 4 nights a week.

One of the unappreciated things I'm doing (Not that I'm whining.  Me?  Whine???)  is tracking the housing market for houses like ours.  It's a pain in the ass, since it means basically every few days I look up MLS numbers (multiple listing service) and see if a house has sold, changed it's price or if it remains on the market.

I'm beginning to think that the market has finally (unfortunately) slowed down, and the current price range is too high.  Dam.  On the other hand, if we sell ours for less, maybe our next home will cost less as well.

but it's a real kick in the pants to see how nice Sam's new place is.  cozy.  warm.  homey.  our place, which we bought and moved into two years ago, still has boxes in every room.  Walls still need paint, and most of our decorative stuff is in boxes in the basement.  And the basement... wow, talk about box overload.
