Let's see, I'm an occasionally paranoid, soon to be single mom of two beautiful girls, I like reading all the scifi/fantasy books I can get my hands on, I have a cat, love surfing the net, drinking coffee & escaping from reality via LJ, nanowrimo, dollwar & various other sites.
Right now, I'm not really sure who I am, though Weird Al's 'white and nerdy' kinda hits home. Am I a total loser? Or just a geek? I'm nervous about the 'joys' of the single life after a decade of being with the same person. I'm a bit lost right now, so take it easy on me. I will admit to a tendency to whine, but I'll try and leave a warning in the tags, lol.
This is my personal journal, but I also talk about my spirituality, my fav tv shows, how my writing is going, etc. It's all here. I'm a taoist, if that explains anything. I'm also an animist, an eclectic pagan, and an occasionally naive romantic. In life, I chose to believe the best in people, because I'm selfish; I don't want to have to live with myself when I'm a cynic. It ain't pretty, and I don't like the kind of person I am when I think/say cruel and petty things.
Now I just have to relearn how to be kind without being a blind idiot. I think it's my lesson in this life, sigh.
Well, this is depressing. Hoping things will get better!
