I've finished my nano novel.  Doing that involved skipping... six chapters, in which I only used a couple of sentences to describe what should happen, and

Chapter ?? – The finale!

Honey has gone to work for PBS.  She finds telling and seeking the truth is much more interesting than telling the lies and rumors.  She’s working on set, as an assistant director, and sees Trevor there watching her.

She agrees to talk with him, and they go out to talk, though she has to be back on set in an hour for the next show.

He admits he loves her, that Roger’s gone off to find the girl he loves, Melinda has moved in with Mitchell whose going to make her a star, and his mom and dad are off on a cruise, together.

He tells her the truth; he never wanted their engagement to be a fake, and he let things slide so that he wouldn’t have to deal with his feelings for her.  She tells her truth as well; she was terrified of repeating the past, of becoming serious so fast that she couldn’t tell if what she felt for him was real or hormonal.  Now she knows that she really does love him for himself, not for his body and charisma.

He says, “Are you going to make an honest man of me now, and marry me?”

She smiles and says something witty, they kiss and the novel ends.

not the prettiest of endings, but then it's more of a... summary, lol, than the actual ending.
