The ongoing battle to finish painting the dam bathroom continues.  Sigh.  My mother, after offering to help clean the walls in prep for painting, failed to do so.  So I spent hours today, washing the dam wallpaper crap off, putting primer on all the bits of drywall, and finally getting the first coat on just about all the walls.  Gah.  Stupid luck, I ran out to buy more rollers, but didn't realize the painter's tape was missing until I got back.  Which meant I could do most of the edges.  Gah.  So tomorrow, when I'd hoped to only have to do a quick second coat, I'll also have to do a 1st on all the edges.  The light blue we're using just doesn't do well with only one coat.  Stupid wallpaper glue; you can't wash it all off, so the paint doesn't go on as smoothly.

The girls are spending spring break with almost-ex's parents, so at least I don't have to worry about little hands getting into trouble.  I miss them terribly, though.  My youngest has a cold, and today she ended up sick enough to throw up.  Poor baby.  Just as well I phoned just as she was getting put into bed, and I couldn't talk to her.  The last thing they need is her sobbing and wanting to come home to mommy.

I ended up listening to a very cool version of Chasing Cars (normally done by Snow Patrol), thanks to a websurf started by watching Much Music.  They had this kid Mika on, who's... interesting, and kinda cool.  He mentioned a celeb hound he was friends with, and since I was bored anyway, I tracked it down.  I don't really care about the personal lives of celebs, so I wasn't overly interested in the blog, but then it had a player where Natasha Bedingfield sings her own version of Chasing Cars.  It was really great, so the entire surf wasn't a waste.

I've added Natasha to my pandora, and she fits in nicely, lol.
