Okay, I'm *almost* ready to podcast! I've got my page up, got the xml, I've got the music lined up, background music, an intro recorded, yada yada yada. It's the actual talking that I have to work on. I tried, like, ten times last night, and boy, it sucked! So I've decided to script it. Yeah, I know, not as good. However, if I can get out of saying Ummm, Uhhh every thirty seconds, and no longer have my brain go blank, it would be wonderful.

I'm hoping to only need to do this a few times, until I'm comfortable enough to wing it.

It's kind of funny. I've really gotten behind on my listening (to podcasts), I've been so busy playing with code, looking at various cheap ways to podcast (I think I've found the best, lol), that I just haven't had much time to simply enjoy myself. Well, today I promised myself to start listening to my backlog. right now I'm catching up with Lance and Graal, and will be listening to the last three huge casts from deo's shadow. wish me luck!

oops, forgot to mention. I'm going with the feedburner/iarchive route for my pagan podcast, and using the garageband one for music I like; I've got the garageband player imbedded in my mystics and strays webpage. I guess I should mention where that is... http://mysticsandstrays.blogspot.com . I'll post in my LJ again when I actually have my darn M&S podcast recorded and up!

as far as audacity is concerned, desktop wins! I've been putting my podcast together on my laptop, which has a poor soundcard for recording; no wonder audacity didn't work. I switched to the desktop (which is my beloved's territory, but since he's out of town right now, who cares?) and found that recording on it sounded a zillion times better.

I re wrote my show notes / script, so it's all ready to roll. Now I just have sit down for 20 minutes to record it, email it to my laptop, put it all together and then my podcast will be up and running. I hope.
