Finally! I got tired of seeing the same basic look for my LJ, so since it's the new year, I decided to take an hour out of my very important and busy life, ahem, stop snickering, and shuffled around till I found something I liked.

I guess I need one. damn. I like, no adore, podcasts, but I listen to them from either the desktop or the laptop. it's kind of nice to be able to listen to something intelligent and funny like deo's shadow when I'm stuck with the kids and they're watching kids tv. (for the non parentally inclined, even if they're not watching it, if it's not on, they *know*.)

I like to listen to public radio, in my case cbc on the radio whenever I'm driving, but podcasts are a thousand times better. even so, i have a few meager questions that will no doubt involve me surfing the net for many hours this weekend. like, what's rss? what do I need to read/listen/whatever these pages? right now I have uh, ipodder, and I'm just learning how to use it. very scary.

When I talked to a friend about podcasts, he said they were just about playlists. can you imagine? I suggested it was like internet radio, and he looked at me like I was crazy. oh well.
