well, I'm still not done my novel. it kind of petered out about a week ago, I just couldn't bear to look at the remaining bits, so I just dropped it. tonight's the first time I've added anything to it, and even though it was only a couple of hundred words, at least that's something.
We have our tree up, it looks very pretty, it's our first time in ages using an artificial tree, but I really like it. it's kind of nice to not have to worry about constantly watering it, vacuuming up pine needles, etc., though I do miss the scent of pine. I may have to pick up some pine scent (*not* pinesol!) and spray it around, just to make it more 'real'.
we've also decorated the house, which was fun. We have those tacky, shiny garlands, that accordian out and you string up next to the ceiling. I love 'em; we had them as kids, and I adore the nostalgia.
of course, typing all this reminds me that I still haven't gotten in touch with the local druid grove, to see if I can make it to their solstice ritual. Oops. Me thinks I have an email to go write!
