So it's kinda boring tonight. Decided to LJ since I'm once again awake at a late hour and need something to do.

We finished gaming early tonight. I'm running the game right now, we're playing V:tM, which apparently is now old school. Gack. I still can't believe Whitewolf decided to comply revamp (pun intended) their World of Darkness stuff. Now I feel like my friend D, who still loves 2nd edition D&D.

Anyways, tonight was a bit of a mop up game, since next week we're doing my lover's game (we're alternating the storytelling to give everyone a chance to play/run). Nothing too exciting, so we ended up with a very early end.

Normally we end up chatting for a couple of hours after the game with E, the other player, talking about tonnes of stuff. He's got great stories. He's travelled much of the world (and he's only 23), and been mugged, banged up and beaten up just about everywhere. Whenever he leaves, he says he's never coming back, and when he does come back, he tells us all about the horrid things that happened to him abroad.

Tonight, we all kinda lacked at conversation. The best I could come up with was politics. Up here in BC, we're headed into a provincial election, woohoo, and we ended up debating the merits and flaws of the several main parties. I took a look at elections.bc.ca, and we have way too many parties running. 15 years ago, there were usually 3 or 4 running; now, some ridings have more than 10. Hurrah for the multiple party system.

I don't really know how I'll vote yet. It'll depend on who's running here. It'll be something left-wing, I'm sure. One of the best things about being canadian is that you can say you're a socialist, and people will ask you what kind. (I'm a democratic socialist (kind of like einstein without being any good at science); go look it up at wikipedia).

I think I'm finally sleepy now at, hmmm, 2am? get to do something with the house this weekend, maybe some painting. Fun and games!
