mwahahahah.  I'm actually back online, have time to LJ, have time to *read* LJs and, most importantly, have time to read the bujold elist!  I felt withdrawal pains, believe me.  Definately one of the down sides of having a baby...  anyways, she's almost 5 months old now, and able to sit in the exersaucer for extended bits of time (like, 15 minutes) if her sister is near.  woohoo!

but enough of mommy talk.  If I have to sit through any more frickin mommy chatter myself, I'm liable to shoot myself in the head; no offence intended to intellligent, actually interesting moms who have a life beyond the next weenie casserole recipe.

where was I, ah yes, babbling... so our local pagan pride day is approaching.  I'm less than impressed.  I have a problem with the general philosohy behind PPD, in that a) if christians had a Christian Pride Day, we'd flip our wigs and b) while I support and encourage homosexual equality, I don't think it's a great activist model for pagans to follow.  Why didn't we pick something like buddhism to model our approach to the public on?

The absolutely worst part is, though, that the local pagans running the whole show are the kind of people who give pagans a bad rep.  The only reason my group is going, is to show outsiders that not all pagans are fruitcakes.
