It's great to have a cheap theatre in town. Barring a few movies (such as RotK), we wait for them to go to second run and see them at the cheap theatre; it's better than tuesdays!

Today we took becca to see Brother Bear. Over all, not bad. Very predictable, but even so, hormones made me cry when keenan had to tell coda about his mom. I liked the semi-pagan nature of the movie too.

Last night we watched Santa Clause 2 (for the first time) and Pirates of the Caribbean (2nd time). SC2 was, well, as mediocre as I'd heard; good till the last 20 minutes, at which point it sucked dearly. Pirates was, of course, awesome. I adore Johnny Depp, nothing new there.

Ooh, did an imdb search of Geoffrey Rush and Kiera Knightley, cuz I couldn't remember where I recognized them from. I loved Rush in Mystery Men! We figured that out the first time we saw the movie, but I forgot until looking it up. And Knightley was in Bend it Like Beckham and Star Wars, Ep:1, so that explains why a) I recognized her and b) why I kept thinking she looked a lot like Natalie Portman.

Now I just have to wait till Love Actually hits the cheap screen... sigh. I hate spending the big bucks on movies that don't really need to be seen first run. RotK is worth the money; a romantic flick... we wait.
