long day today. we're trying to set up a local pagan discussion group. can we say, herding cats? the one frickin day everyone says they can make, they can't! only me and bob have made every meet, and that's cuz we organise them! so it's us and who ever is hosting the darn thing. 3 of us max, out of a total of 7 people! it makes me wanna cry.

do we give up now? is it just not the right time to get something going? argh. it'd be so nice to actually have a conversation about something like rituals or whatever, instead of gossip about what everyone else is doing or how our kids did in school today.

it can't be too much to ask. after all, everyone makes it to one of the local coffee meets, so maybe we can make it to a discussion group, right? hmmmm. maybe we need inticements. mmmm, candy....

i hate cleaning

tomorrow i volunteered to take a friends kids so she and dh could go xmas shopping for the kiddies. no problem, she wanted to, but couldn't figure it out. so I went about my apathetic weekend business, letting the mess remain; after all, no one was coming over, so why do more than a few dishes?

tonight she called, saying she had a 2 hr window tomorrow, so I'm stuck babysitting with my place in an absolute State. sigh. maybe i'll wake up with enough energy in the morning to half-heartedly clean the livingroom at least, maybe the hall too. it's really embarassing cuz the mom's pretty damn tidy (way too much energy) and i end up feeling majorly incompetent. I'd claim pregnancy fatigue, but she's also preggo and 2 months behind me. oh well. I'll just surf the net and ignore my surroundings. after all, we're not friends because of my housewifely skills; i'd have no friends if that was the criteria!
